My Dads

My dad and his twin brother were together for their birthday. My uncle Pat has 4 girls, who I adore! We had so much fun together. They figured out that we are genetically 1/2 sisters so they had fun being 1/2 aunts. So for our dads 51st birthday we got a cake and put 51 candles on. (they swear they didn't mean to wear the same color shirt, it must just be their genetics) 1/2 family we miss you! Also, my genius genetic 1/2 sister Natalie thought it would be funny to put Happy 102nd Birthday on their cake, the people in sams club were so excited thinking that there was someone turning 102! Happy birthday Dads!

Sorry the pictures are so small I don't feel like doing it again, the videos took all my computer time:)

Watch the videos in order, I don't know how to combine them. Sorry!

The farewell

On thursday May 27th we left Texas with a car full of suitcases, bikes, 3 kids, 2 parents and 1 nervous little dog. We drove to Colorado for my brothers farewell and to spend the summer up north. During our drive the kids did really well and so did our dog, until about 2 in the morning when Robby and Natalie woke up and started throwing up because of all the twists and turns. We finally pulled up to my parents house in grand junction CO at 8:00 a. m. and then slept until noon. Then the family started arriving and the parties began.

(Justin at the temple)

The farewell was great, my brother Justin has decided to go on a mission for our church and he was called to go to Columbus Ohio. We are so proud of him because it was a big decision and takes a lot of faith. The house was full of people but had even more food than people. We had so many BBQ's and desserts we could hardly eat by the end. Thanks for not letting us go hungry mom. we dropped him off at the MTC on Wed and then headed back to Grand junction.

My family after Justin was set apart

Just a quick photo from the open house

Natalie is 3!

Natalie is an incredible girl. She was so excited to turn three and had been talking about having a baby birthday for several weeks. She wanted to go on a walk with her cousins, and everyone have a stroller with a baby. Well, as it got closer she changed her mind and decided that chuck e cheese was the way to go. So I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she quickly said "just M&M's" which is exactly what she asked Santa for. I said ok and what kind of cake do you want? and she responded and "M&M cake!" here is what our little princess girl decided her cake should look like. we have mimi to thank for the pedastle it was on to give it a femine touch.

My new favorite story of natalie is from her birthday, she was opening gifts and she got to her 5 bags of M&M's and when she pulled them out all her cousins asked if she would share. And without hesitation she said sure and started handing them out to each family and ended up with one bag for her. She is so kind and a ton of fun to be around. Now when she tells stories she gets a squeeky voice and takes gasping breaths in between thoughts. She is very aware of how people around her are feeling and is a great sister and daughter. We LOVE our lulu.

YW, RS, Activity days service activity

it

My new calling is the Additional RS meeting coordinator. I love getting women together and listening to them help laugh, visit, and help each other. We have had one in February that was a chocolate buffet and a discussion on relationships. It was fun to hear what other marriage and mother daughter relationships are like and laugh all together. Next we did a garden party that we made hair clips with flowers on them and everyone got one as they came in and we listened to what the different general RS pres. did in their time. Then in April we did a family home evening as sisters to teach new members what FHE was and how it works, but then we discussed the things that keep us from doing it. It was a great night and we left recommited to improving family night. Then, last night was our most recent enrichment. We combined with YW and Activity day girls for a baby shower. We had it at the church and played games, had dinner and all the gifts that were brought were donated to a womens shelter. We loved it. It was so great to be together and I loved the bonding. We shared thoughts about charity and mothers. I think it is going to be a tradition!

It has only been a year!

So I am not even going to try and catch everyone up on life in the past year because if I try it might just put me back to not blogging again for another year. So in the most recent past Laci turned ONE! I can't believe it. She is walking but it is still a little tipsy. She does not want to be left out and she notices all the things her brother and sister are doing. She has a peaceful demeanor and she is by far our most social baby. She loves to smile at people and say hi no matter who it is. Which I love because it makes people feel good and they forgive all of the other craziness going on around us. She is an angel and is such a good buffer between Robby and Natalie.
