I just love kids and the random things they say and wear. This is Eliza and natalie being doggies at Mimi's house. (I am banking that good imaginations really are a good thing because if not we have a few habits to break)

Laci May is here!
Sorry it has taken so long to post about baby Laci, I know many of you have been waiting for pictures. I was induced on Monday the 20th and at 11:00pm they broke my water and at 2:11 am on Tuesday Laci was born. She weighed 7lb 11 oz and was 20" long. She is our biggest baby and by far the best eater. We are so grateful that she is here and I am so grateful to be getting back to normal. 3 is for sure an adjustment but we still have lots of help around. Natalie loves having a baby around and of course is always trying to give her the pacifier and jump around her. The sweetest thing is when she hears Laci cry she goes "ooh, baby sissy".
I love hearing robby teach natalie what she needs to do to be a good big sister. "I am the brother so I beat the bad guys, you are the cheerleader" At least they know their roles I guess. The first day home Robby didn't want to leave Laci alone. It was super sweet to watch him sit so still and have Laci hold onto his fingers and have him giggle and smile. Oh, I love my kids. Rob has been a trooper. He had a case study, and a research paper all due this week and he has balanced everything so well. He is the best dad and our kids always snuggle up to him and sleep the best when he is holding them.
Must be something about that strong chest and huge biceps Rob has. I will post more pictures when I am on my computer. Just know that she is adorable and we are all doing well.

what a week!
Well, I thought I would get the story out about what has happened this past week. Tuesday night, rob got home just in time for me to start feeling some back pain. The night was normal until no amount of pain medication, heating pad or moaning was making the pain go away or allowing me to sleep. Because of a previous trip to the emergency room with the same symptoms and coming home feeling worse because it was just a silly UTI. I decided I was not going to the emergency room again and I would tough it out until my doctor appt. the next day. Kelli (my sister in law) saved me by coming to get the kids so rob and I could go early and try to have the doctor squeeze us in before my actual appointment time because it hurt so bad. After a 45 min. wait to see the doctor he said "well there isn't much more I can do from here so I am sending you to the hospital." So my sleepless night was worthless!!!! At the hospital they ran several tests including blood, ultrasound and urine to find what he source of the pain was. Because I had kidney stones during my pregnancy with Natalie they jumped right to that conclusion. Until I had a bad case of shaking and my fever spiked. After settling me down with some super awesome drugs, they brought in 2 doctors to tell me that I had to get a stent put in to relieve the fluid from my kidney because it was being blocked. VERY reluctantly I agreed and they did the surgery. After the surgery they told us they found and removed a kidney stone but that an infection was behind the stone. Then when the blood cultures came back the next day they found that it was in my blood also. So to be very blunt I had a UTI, Kidney Stone, Kidney infection and a septic infection that was later defined as an Ecoli infection. A few days in the hospital and lots of rest, tests, medicine, and more tests. They decided I could go home as long as my heart rate went down to normal and the infection showed that it was responding to the antibiotic. Finally on Saturday afternoon they decided I could go home with an IV to administer the antibiotic. So here I am at home laying around trying to keep the contractions from progressing and watching everyone else run around serving me and taking care of my kids. I am so grateful for modern medicine and that baby Laci was a trooper through the whole thing and decided now was not the time to be born and her heart rate stayed stable through it all. How blessed I am to have Wendy around to live with and take care of the kids, Rob and I. Her life has been over taken and we appreciate her sacrifices so much. Your career really is being a grandma and mother and you are a professional ! I love you. Also, it is so nice to have friends around calling and checking on me bringing everything I could want and helping with the kids. This has really been a humbling experience to allow everyone to take over everything in life and accept the service. You are all so wonderful. Thank you, thank you!

We are having a...
Yep, we have found out what we are having and we are so excited that we get to have another sweet little GIRL! I love girl bows, bracelets, colors and that Natalie will have a sister to grow up with. I always wanted a sister so I am so happy they will have eachother. Ok, truth be told Rob and I are a little nervous about the girl drama but we love Natalie's sweetness and all of her enthusiasm. We have decided to name her Laci, Lacey, Lacie, Lacy. And I would love to know what spelling you think is best. Yay for girls!

All the Events!
Wow, I can't believe how fast time goes by. I really am amazed at how quickly things come and go. It seems like I am always looking forward to the next thing and the past few months seem to have been trying to teach me to live in the moment. I am sure it is a life long lesson but I am going to KEEP TRYING. So an update, the first thing I was looking forward to was our family Halloween as a real texas cowboy family. The kids were adorable and Rob and I made an attempt. Then our family trip to Utah to see the BYU vs. Utah game (freezing!) and have thanksgiving with my parents and brother. We took family photos and got to spend time with all of our friends in Provo. It was so nice to hang out and not have a crazy schedule to keep. When we got home we had 2 weeks until our next trip to HAWAII! In that two weeks we found out we are having another little girl. I don't know how all of you moms out there with mulitple girls find the patience not to buy every cute thing in site, especially with two of them! So, then on to Christmas with the Nielsen gang and a wedding for Dane and Taylor. Hawaii was SO fun and busy. We had all the family there and Giff and Wendy were so generous renting space for all of us to stay. The kids loved having their cousins around. Robby was a little nervous about the ocean for the first few days, but thanks to his fearless sister and cousin Maddox he slowly warmed up to it and can't wait for Galveston to be warm enough to take his "surfboard out" and wear his surfer clothes.
The all famous Ravens jersey!
I really wanted to go on a hike to the top of Diamon Head while we were there. And I was so excited when others wanted to go too! It was an amazing hike that I made 6 months pregnant and Andy (my brother in law) hiked with a broken toe! Way to go Andy you are a champion. The view was amazing and anytime we can all get out and have adventures together the closer we all feel. But it would not have been possible without Giff and Jenna being so generous and staying home with the little kids. Thank you so much Giff and Jenna you made my trip!So much has happend and we have loved having all of our vacations. When we got home from Hawaii we realized it was back to reality time and we can't wait to get back to hawaii some day.

Family Photos!
Jenn Petty in our ward took us to take our pictures. Normally I think of family photos as TORTURE. You all know... coordinating outfits, forcing them to sit, "adults keep smiling and look at the camera", squeaky toys... But this was the most enjoyable time I have ever had taking pictures. Jenn just let the kids run and go where they wanted. The weather was great and we got it all done in the morning so the kids weren't missing their naps. Thanks so much Jenn. let me know which one is your favorite!

The Play Group Party
Robby is in a sweet little playgroup and I was lucky enough to have them the week of Halloween. It was great! I was tired at the end but it was all worth it. They are so creative and try so hard.
